Our client, having been born and raised in Paradise, had a deep love for his hometown. To celebrate this, we assembled a storybook that provided insights and information on the town's landmarks and historic happenings relative to moments featured in the game.
Another set of assets needed were the Draw Cards that are used in game-play. Trajectory was tasked with creating the design language for two types of card sets. THe first (on the left) were dubbed the "Gold Rush" cards that harken back to a point in history where Paradise played a pivotal role in the discovery and mining of gold within the region.
"Roll of the Dise" is the second set of Draw Cards included in the game. These cards are equivalent to "Chance" cards (from Monopoly) that represent the bustling rich history of the town during the height of the gold rush in the 1800's
Additionally, we were tasked with preparing a clean and concise instruction booklet that made the game easy to learn and play, while at the same time providing an elevated quality execution that players would want to keep and reference back to.
As a charitable venuture, Paradise-Opoly did not have any initial funding so it was up to the creator of the game to generate donations via crowd-funding through Kickstarter.
Our digital and social creative deliverables supported our marketing strategy and ultimately helped out client surge past their initial goals and drove donations to over $100k to completely cover completion and production costs.
